The Best Celebrity Tattoos: 10 Famous Designs That Will Make You To Run To Your Nearest Parlour

When it comes to tattoos, these celebrities have a tough time saying no. From Katy Perry‘s Hello Kitty finger ink to Cara Delevingne‘s proclamation of love for bacon, which she has tattooed on the bottom of her foot, it’s clear that a sense of humour is key when it comes to deciding on a design for some of these celebs.

On the more sentimental side is Miley Cyrus, who got matching tats with her friends to tribute to her deceased dog Floyd. Resident bad gal Rihanna has even admitted that getting tattoos is a slight addiction for her, which would explain why she has 21 to date. Our favourite? The tattoo of Egyptian goddess Isis she got in honour of her late grandmother. Rita Ora is a close second with 19 tattoos, and Kesha apparently has around 15. Many of her tattoos have been done by friends, including the evil eye tattoo on the palm of her right hand.

Demi Lovato has 12 tattoos, many of which are inspirational quotes, like Now I’m a warrior and Stay strong. Lady Gaga has a total of seven tattoos, all on her left side of the body because she promised her father that she would keep the right side “slightly normal”. She refers to her left side as the “Iggy Pop side” and the right side her “Marylin Monroe side.”

How Adriana Lima Gets Victoria's Secret Fashion Show-Ready

With the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 18 days away, it’s “crunch time.” If you’ve seen the #trainlikeanangel hashtag popping up on Instagram alongside Angels doing some very, very intense workouts, you probably already know that we’re down to the wire. Like with one of our favorite Angels, Adriana Lima: When we caught up with her last week at her fitting for the $2 million Fantasy Bra, we could tell she’s been busy getting into fighting shape (or…even better shape than she’s already, usually in?). And while she told us “I love to work out; it’s a passion of mine, and even if I did not have this job I would be working out,” we have to wonder if the fact that she does one of the most fun and easiest-to-do-anywhere workouts sparks some of that enthusiasm. Below, how she’s prepping to sport lingerie in front of 9 million viewers on Tuesday, December 9:

How do you get in the mindset to train like an Angel?

I love to watch [boxing] on TV; it’s something that fits my personality. I think that’s the secret about working out, to find something that fits your personality. I’m very energetic. I can’t stay still. I’m all over the place, and I need to move around. So that’s something perfect [about boxing]: You’re always moving, you’re constantly moving no matter what.

Did you play sports growing up?

Yes, I was an athletic child, yes. I did play sports, everything like futbol—I mean soccer—basketball, handball, running, everything. I did everything, but my passion is boxing.

Have you ever gone head to head with anybody in the ring?

I actually train in the ring, yeah. Usually I do mitts—you know, those big cushioning things, the pads that you just hit on?—that’s what I do. But I use it as exercise; I don’t do it for anything else. Boxing for me is [great because] it takes so much of your concentration. You need a lot of focus. If I go running, for example, I will be thinking about everything: what I’m gonna do, what’s the next thing, I think about everything. When I do boxing, it brings me to a zen place, because you have to focus and you can not think about anything else. And I love that.

What about your diet and eating habits, especially in the month coming up. Do you have cheat days?

Of course I do have my cheat days.

But do you try to keep on track, especially knowing you’re going to be in front of millions of people very soon?

Honestly, it’s different now because I’m not young anymore. I’m 33, so you need to watch what you eat. I want to live very long, so I definitely believe that you are what you eat and the only way for you to have a long healthy life is really to take care of your food habits. That’s where everything starts. Also I have two kids at home, I want to be a good example for them. I really try to eat as healthy as I possibly can. Vegetables, protein, knowing how to balance the right amount of carbs—that’s for me not my kids. Because my metabolism is slowing down right now, I have to be careful now.

What about after you finish working out, do you have a snack that you eat?

After I work out I always have a protein shake. I make it with a banana and you can use almond milk, water, or whatever you like. Every day it’s important [to drink this] after you work out, especially if you do muscle-building work.

What about after the show? Do you have a ritual, like a post-show meal?

Usually I have my mom with me at the show and some friends, so after the show we all go and have a dinner together. This year I think my whole family is gonna come to London, so we’re probably gonna go to Nobu and have dinner since my mom loves sushi.

Are you excited to go to London? Is it going change your preparation at all because it’s going to be in a new place?

A little bit, but I will work out there. I’m not sure how many days in advance we’re going to arrive there prior to the show. I will have my jump rope with me; it’s something easy I can do. And I can do some exercises in the room; I don’t need a full gym. That’s something about boxing: You can just do some shadow boxing and that’s it, you don’t need a fully equipped gym to do it.

And it’s true! You actually don’t need to own a lot of fancy gym equipment or pay for boutique workout classes to train like an Angel—just some gloves and maybe a jump rope. Check out Adriana’s killer skills in the ring here:

Naomi Campbell Share About Supermodel Talks Charity And Her Fashion Family As She Smoulders in Glossy Shoot

  • Naomi Campbell is without a doubt one of the fashion industry's most famous faces.
  • Scouted at the tender age of 15, Naomi is still one of the world's most in-demand models despite working in the industry for nearly 30 years; it's no she's dubbed a 'super'.
  • Despite her unprecedented success - she's worked for every major fashion house - Naomi, 44, admits that even she gets nervous before a catwalk appearance.
Still a super: Naomi Campbell may have broken into the industry nearly thirty years ago but at 44, she's better than ever - and proves it in this glossy shoot for The Edit
Her biggest fear, she says, is fear itself. 'If you feel fear, fear will come to you. Fear is a terrible thing to have and I’ve been aware of that since I was a kid. It can stop you doing things in your life. I don’t want fear to get hold of me.'

High fashion: She's worked for every major fashion house but Naomi admits that even she gets nervous before a catwalk appearance
Helping hand: The supermodel, who grew up in the fast-paced world of fashion, was offered valuable advice from Nelson Mandela
Survivor: She says that as a Gemini, she likes to keep moving and doing things and being there for friends no matter how hectic her life may get
Luckily for Naomi, she's been able to share the experience with her 'fashion family' - a starry host of models, designers and photographers, who have helped nurture her along the way.

'I definitely spent more time around them than around my own blood family as I was traveling and working so much… Azzedine [Alaïa] is more like a papa; Gianni [Versace] was more like a brother,' she said.

As one of the 90’s supers, which also included Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington, Campbell’s life has rocked and rolled between extremes but she is, above all, a survivor.

Internationally renowned: Along with Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell is without a doubt one of the fashion industry's most famous faces and at 44, she's still going strong
'I don’t have to justify myself to anyone. I took off almost five years from work,' she said. 'But I’m a Gemini and I like to keep moving and doing things and being there for friends. If I go against my instincts, there is always a consequence.'

And one special man has helped her along the way - and now she wants to help others. '[Nelson] Mandela always said to me: "Use yourself to help other people."

'I feel that now more strongly than ever before and I try to do that in the best way I can,' she said.

She is certainly doing just that - she's raised millions for causes including Hurricane Katrina and the Haiti earthquake.

In response to the current Ebola threat, she has launched the CrushEbolaNow campaign with other celebrities, which aims to educate and raise funds to help fight the spread of the deadly virus.

How The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Wings Are Actually Made

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which serves as a mega-produced kick-off to the holiday season, has only become more of a must-watch event year after year. The show boasts top-notch musical acts, theatrical elements and beauties dancing around in gorgeous lingerie. Arguably the most iconic part of the whole spectacle, however, are the wings. Each year, new Angels are born and current Angels are introduced to yet another massive pair for the runway. The wings not only serve as a rite of passage for the models chosen to wear them, but as a piece of artwork that embodies the sexy aesthetic that is Victoria's Secret.

The story and process behind these wings are way heavier a lift (literally and figuratively) than you might think. On a warm October day, I trek eleven flights up and enter an unassuming gray door to find a team of publicists, Victoria's Secret executives and wing-designer Marian Hose aka Killer gathered for just one of many rounds of fittings.

Aside from the golden, feathered wings the fit model Barbara is wearing when I arrive, about five more are displayed in various corners of the small space, posing some difficulty for anyone trying to move around. Wings are made in everything from leather and lace to five pounds of Swarovski crystals and up close the intricacies of the elaborate designs are clearer than ever. It's no wonder, then, that the lucky ladies who walk in the show wait their entire careers for the moment they get to don a pair of their own.

It all starts when an artist, hired by Victoria's Secret, sketches out the concept for a wing. It's then delivered to Killer and her design team who bring the wings to life. "The best part is seeing just how Killer interprets the sketch," Sophia Neophitou, collection creative director for the show, tells me during my studio visit. After a drawing is finalized, it is projected onto a screen, where a model stands in to figure out scale. The team then gets to work. "It takes about a week just to make the frame [but] for a more intricate wing it takes much longer. For something beaded, for example, we have an entire team just working on that part of it," Killer says.

While an entire team of beaders may seem outrageous to some, for Killer it's just another day at the office. Her extensive experience in costume design has prepared her for her uncommon title of "Wing Maker." After all, her resumé boasts time spent as a millinery consultant for Radio City Music Hall. She's also worked with the Metropolitan Opera and CBS. She was connected with the lingerie company back in 2009, when one of the sketch artists recommended they work together.

Once Barbara slips a pair of the wings on, it's time to adjust and customize the wings for each girl. "[Barbara] is a huge help because she puts on the wings and knows what we need to change -- she knows which girl poses which way, which is amazing," Killer says. And while the amount and structure of the wings can change up until moments before the show but by October, Killer pretty much has an idea about which wing each girl will wear.

No matter how much you plan for the moment the model puts on her wings for the first time, there is absolutely nothing like experiencing it firsthand. That's where I meet Candice Swanepoel, nearly a month later, putting on those same wings I saw being fit for her specific body weeks prior. The room that has been buzzing with chatter, camera flashes and shuffling of feet is completely silenced once -- with a team of helpers -- Swanepoel has the wings on for the first time. It is a highly-charged moment, broken only by Candice's first glorious steps down a makeshift runway. The straps are a bit tight for her, and are swiftly taken off for an adjustment.

"I love having the wings, but I need the freedom to enjoy them as well," Swanepoel tells me. "One year (before we worked with Killer), I tried on this massive pair -- two harps. They were absolutely beautiful. On the morning of the show I got really nervous and asked to try them on the runway, and let's just say it didn't go so well. We decided to forfeit them and go for something smaller."

It's clear that the weight and wearability of the wings are just as important as having that perfect runway strut. It takes the right pair and the right girl to hold up the massive structure, which can weigh as much as a small child. The biggest pair Killer has ever made weighed in at 21 pounds: a pair of white, feathered wings made for Lindsey Ellington. "Lindsey is a real trooper," Killer says, adding, "it doesn't matter how much a girl wants her wings, if they're too heavy we can't use them."

From paper to production, it's clear it takes hard work, a lot of adjustments, some serious time and a whole lot of love in order to make these wings truly killer.

Myla Dalbesio on Her New Calvin Klein Campaign and the Rise of the 'In-Between' Model

Myla Dalbesio explodes with laughter on the other end of the phone. “It’s crazy!” she exclaims. “I can’t even.”

The 27-year-old model is talking about booking her latest gig, modeling Calvin Klein underwear in the brand’s latest "Perfectly Fit" campaign, which was shot by Lachlan Bailey. “It was such a surreal moment. I cried,” she admitted.

Booking an underwear campaign for such an iconic brand would be a coup for any model. But it’s especially notable for Dalbesio, who, at a size 10, is what the fashion industry would—still, surprisingly—call “plus size.” (“In fact, not so long ago plus size models were around size 10-12, but that number has recently shrunk to an 8,” said Cosmopolitan earlier this year, while PLUS Model concurs that models “between size 6 and size 14” are typically considered plus size.)

“It’s kind of confusing because I’m a bigger girl,” Dalbesio says. “I’m not the biggest girl on the market but I’m definitely bigger than all the girls [Calvin Klein] has ever worked with, so that is really intimidating.” (We have reached out to Calvin Klein to confirm.) She wasn’t sure, she said of the shoot, what was expected from her “in terms of her size or shape.” Refreshingly, what was expected of her was the same thing that was expected of the other models featured in the campaign (Lara Stone, Jourdan Dunn, Ji Hye Park): to take a beautiful picture. “No one even batted an eye,” she says. “It was very cool.”

So what does it mean for a brand like Calvin Klein—known for launching the careers of such svelte models as Brooke Shields and Kate Moss—to cast a model who deviates from the size 0 standard and not make a fuss about it?

To Dalbesio, who spent years abusing Adderall, crash dieting, and flirting with bulimia in an attempt to whittle herself to “straight size,” it represents progress. “It’s not like [Calvin Klein] released this campaign and were like ‘Whoa, look, there’s this plus size girl in our campaign.’ They released me in this campaign with everyone else; there’s no distinction. It’s not a separate section for plus size girls,” she says.

There was a time in the industry, not too long ago, when it seemed that the high fashion world was using plus size models as a headline-grabbing gimmick (see: the groundbreaking Italian Vogue cover featuring Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine, and Robyn Lawley in June 2011; Crystal Renn in a 2010 Chanel campaign.)

“I feel like for a minute, it was starting to feel like this ‘plus size’ thing really was a trend, and that it was over,” Dalbesio says. “There was that beautiful Italian Voguestory, and the girls that were in that ended up doing really well [in their modeling careers]. But when that happened, we felt really excited; we thought it was going to open so many doors for all of us, you know? And it felt like it hadn’t. It was dying out.”

Now, Dalbesio is a bit more hopeful about size in the modeling industry. “I’m in the middle,” she says. “I’m not skinny enough to be with the skinny girls and I’m not large enough to be with the large girls and I haven’t been able to find my place. This [campaign] was such a great feeling.” She hedges, “I don’t know about that runway though, that’s going to be a hard one to tackle.”

Update:

In light of the vigorous response that this story has generated, both Calvin Klein and Myla Dalbesio have released statements.

From Myla Dalbesio:

I love that after working in the fashion industry for nine years, I have finally found my place, right in the middle. Neither plus, nor straight size, I love that I can be recognized for what I am, a healthy size 10.

I love that as the conversation on the internet explodes and brings greater awareness, I am receiving emails from 15 year-old girls, telling me that I have given them hope and that sharing my story has made them feel less freakish, less weird, and that they can accept their size 8 or 10 frame.

I love that I get to be a part of this conversation, about size and body image and that I get to represent a brand like Calvin Klein. They didn't introduce this campaign for shock value, they simply included what some would refer to as a "normal size" girl in their advertising, right next to other girls of varying sizes and shapes.

I love that by opening this discussion, I can also (hopefully) open some doors for other models, friends of mine, that have always straddled the line between straight size and plus. True body diversity doesn't mean only sizes 0's and 2's then jumping to size 16 and up. There is a middle ground.

From Calvin Klein:

The new Calvin Klein Underwear Perfectly Fit imagery features models Myla Dalbesio, Jourdan Dunn, Amanda Wellsh, Ji Hye Park and the face of the brand, Lara Stone, in several styles. The Perfectly Fit line was created to celebrate and cater to the needs of different women, and these images are intended to communicate that our new line is more inclusive and available in several silhouettes in an extensive range of sizes.

Prepping Your Hair for Fall and Winter: 8 Must-Read Tips

When most people associate fall with rich colors and romantic mood, I usually think about eventual problems with my locks. The change in temperature and humidity can really confuse your hair and cause numerous hair problems such as dryness, dandruff, fly-away hair and many others. Moreover, in fall I always face the results of sun exposure and that’s why I consider fall the season of intense hair care. Even though fall hair treatment is somewhat easier than the summer one, there are some things you should know. Read on to learn how to prep your hair for a colder weather.

1. Get a trim

Getting rid of split ends is one of the first things I perform in fall. Brittle and split ends that have been damaged by summer rays are unlikely to recover. They are the most easily-damaged part of our tresses, thus we should have our ends trimmed every two month in order to avoid fried and worn look. Getting a regular trim is a good way to enhance your hair and keep it healthy.

2. Go for oils and natural ingredients

This hair care ploy is not the season’s exclusive, but in fall and winter your hair needs much more natural ingredients than ever. Intense summer heat, salt water and harsh chemicals of SPF sprays make your tresses straw-like and lifeless. By keeping your products all natural you prevent further dryness and itching. I avoid using synthetic and alcohol-based products since they strip my hair of nutrients and damage natural protective layer of my scalp. Vegetable oils are another go-to component in hair treatment. Adding a few drops of coconut oil to my shampoo makes my locks supple and radiant. I also rub a few drops of oil in the ends, when my hair is a bit wet.

3. Give it a tint

Summer always means sun-kissed hair with the natural effect of color blocking or ombré. Highlights look absolutely astonishing on brown-haired and blonde girls. However, my ends usually look two or three shades lighter than the rest of my hair and the effect is likely to fade out in a month. I opt for darker hues to even out my hair color and make the transition less visible. Plus, high-end hair color agents provide a good treatment for split ends.

4. Stock up on heat protectant products

While summer ponytails and other unpretentious hairdos are very sparing for your hair, fall always means excess usage of hair dryer, iron and styling products, which are highly harmful to your locks. I’ve been using the flat iron for many years and I just cannot do it without a good heat shield to protect my hair. Not only do they keep my hair healthier, but also make my styling longer.

5. Opt for a clarifying shampoo

In fall my hair gets greasy and limp faster due to the residues of sunblocks, salt sprays and styling products. Moreover, ordinary tap water is a culprit of chlorine build-up. That’s why I want to start a new season by getting my hair professionally clarified. If you cannot afford this costly treatment, invest in a good clarifying shampoo. By using a clarifying shampoo once every two weeks you will get absolutely clean and shiny hair. However, clarifying shampoos are rather drastic, so be careful not to strip hair of color if it is dyed.

6. Moisturize

You remember that itchy, dry skin comes with cold season. The same happens to your hair. Fall is a period when your hair needs extra moisture so it can adjust to the change in temperature. Deep moisturizing sessions work best after using a clarifying shampoo since your hair won’t feel heavy or oily. Moisturizing is essential to my tresses when I want to fight fly-away hair, which is the most annoying thing about cold weather. Jojoba oil masks and conditioners keep my hair hydrated and restored for a long time and help to avoid dandruff.

7. Consider headgear

Only few people take the risk of getting outside without any headgear on crisp fall and cold winter mornings. Men are usually okay with all kinds of headgear, while women have their hair pressed to the scalp, which results in a spoilt hair-do and bad mood. I opt for super-volumizing styling products to save my hair-do. Styling mousse and sprays are a must if you want to have your hair well-done after wearing a hat. Fall is the perfect season for low sleek ponytails and braided hair. These hair styles are extremely easy to perform and they look great even after an hour of wearing a hat. I also skip wool scarves and hats as they create static electricity, which is difficult to get rid of.

8. Massage

Probably this tip sounds a bit weird, but massage is evidently what you need in fall and winter. Scalp massage stimulates blood circulation, hair growth and you will eventually get healthier hair and head. I usually use essential oils and boar bristle brush to perform the treatment. 10 minute massage before bed is the surest way to relax and fall asleep faster.

Sure, these hints are applicable to any season and most of them are well-known to you. But you will easily handle your unruly hair in fall and winter by the following simple tips mentioned above!

7 Amazing Things You Should Try in Your Life

Most people compose a list of things they want to do in their life. However, these collections of goals are often framed within a certain social context such as career or family. But stop for a minute and tell me: does this list really mean anything to you? What if you sleepwalk your life away? What if you are caught in a fuss of day-to-day activities?

William Ross once said: “Every man dies. Not every man really lives.” That’s why I highly recommend you to get a notebook, take a deep breath and compile a bucket list of your heartfelt desires and goals. A bucket list will remind you of what is really important to you and enables you to focus on what you want from life. Do not be afraid to put down the wackiest ideas. Read on to find out what you can derive from my own bucket list.

1. Go backpacking

Admittedly, backpacking stands first on my bucket list. When I was a student I went backpacking every summer and I shall say that it was an unforgettable experience. Backpacking allows you to enjoy international destinations at comparatively low cost with a great deal of freedom and fun. The best thing I love about backpacking is that you can easily travel alone but you will never feel aloof. It is all about budget airlines, hostels and hitch-hiking, which means you are constantly surrounded by people. Backpacking taught me a lot about life, people and my own personality. Now I can cross off this point, but if you have never backpacked, this is definitely something to try!

2. Train for a new career

Well, I’m pretty satisfied with my occupation and I’m not going to change it in the nearest future. But I have such point on my bucket list since it’s always nice to try something different from what you have been doing before. Consider things you are fond of, your hobbies or interests. They are very likely to develop into your would-be full-fledge activity and the job of your life! Start a part time business or get involved in volunteering in a field you like. These are the right steps to take when learning a new occupation. New profession will help you expand your horizon and realize your dreams.

3. Start volunteering

Performing a good deed without waiting anything in return is one of the best experiences you should try. Volunteering is not necessarily about grandiose act or big donation. There are hundreds of things you can do in order to help others pro bono. Assisting at hospice, working with disabled kids, protecting animals or clean-ups are all great activities. Your money, skills and social status don’t matter since your desire and effort are the most important things about volunteering. Do it whenever you have time. Remember that your every act makes a difference in this world.

4. Experience a blind date

Going on a blind date is highly adventurous! You never know who you are meeting and what it may lead to. The elements of surprise and excitement are very thrilling since you are thinking what your partner is going to be like. The best thing about blind dates is that they exclude the feeling of guilt and duty. You can easily reject your admirer in case you don’t like him. Blind dates seem to have more upsides than downsides. You meet a new person, you have a boundless amount of topics to discuss and you can be utterly frank with your interlocutor. Chances are you meet a good friend or even your fate. Who knows?

5. Try an extreme sport

Some are passionate about extreme sports, while others consider it daredevil craziness. Surely, I’m not an extreme-sport person, but I do love experience new feelings. Bungee-jumping, kayaking, paragliding or swimming with white sharks will give you the experience you’ll never forget. The session may only last a couple of minutes, but that would be the most unforgettable minutes of your life! Since extreme sports are highly traumatic and dangerous, you should stick to all the safety precautions and do it with professional instructor.

Unfortunately, I cannot brag about my extreme adventures so far. But I know perfectly well that one day I will circumnavigate around the world or climb the seven summits, as silly as it may sound.

6. Treat a stranger to coffee

Once I’ve experienced an exceptional situation in a café. I was working on my laptop and a man, sitting next to me, couldn’t make out where a power outlet was. After I had shared a power point with him, he got a cappuccino for me. But it wasn’t even my property! The stranger left soon, and I was sitting there, looking through the window and smiling with a very good feeling inside. So the next time you are at a café, treat a stranger to a cup of coffee. This is so easy! But the feelings will surely make your day!

7. Witness Northern Lights

People from all over the world overcome a great distance to the north, in order to enjoy this outstanding natural phenomenon, also known as Aurora Borealis. You can behold the display in Arctic Region, above latitude 60 degrees. The highest chances to observe Northern Lights in its full glory are from early October till late April. Apart from viewing Aurora you can make advantage of other winter experiences like dog sledding, skiing and winter festivals. So the next time that you have vacation, consider Alaska, Iceland and Norway your destinations instead of chock-full beach resorts. North is a very romantic and mysterious region and it has a lot to offer!

7 Great Reasons to Exercise While Pregnant

Unfortunately, most pregnant women are scared to exercise because they think they can harm the fetus. Exercising when you are pregnant is actually good for you and your baby, but you should pay attention to what kind of exercise you are going to do. Exercise can reduce high blood pressure, lower your risk of gestational diabetes, control hormones and help you to prepare for labor. But, before starting your fitness program, you should definitely talk to your doctor about exercising during pregnancy and find out all the necessary information and recommendations. Below is the list of some great reasons to exercise when you are pregnant, read on.
1. Strengthen your body and mind

When you exercise, you strengthen your mind and body and prepare your body for labor. A few studies have shown that exercise during pregnancy can reduce the time of labor and delivery. You may have speedy delivery and even speedy recovery thanks to staying fit during pregnancy. So if your doctor recommends you to exercise, what are you waiting for?

2. Boost your baby’s brain activity

A study conducted by researchers at the University of Montreal in 2013 showed that 20 minutes of moderate exercise, 3 times a week, enhances your baby’s brain power. Before this study, people only know that exercise can increase their brain activity, not their baby’s brain. I think this is a critical reason to exercise while pregnancy.

3. Better sleep

If you have trouble sleeping during pregnancy, especially in the last three months of pregnancy, exercise may help you. Don’t worry most pregnant women have sleep problems at some point, not only you. If you find yourself tossing and turning through the night, talk to your doctor and consider exercising every day.

4. Relieve back pain

Back pain during pregnancy is actually a common complaint of almost all pregnant women. There are several things you can do to treat this pain and exercise is one of them. By working out during your pregnancy you can reduce back pain or even eliminate it. To strengthen your core, you can only do the plank. Don’t lie on your back when you exercise, as this lowers blood flow to your baby.

5. Reduce your risk of gestational diabetes

Exercising during pregnancy can also reduce your risk of gestational diabetes. Gestational diabetes occurs when you have a lot of sugar in your blood. To avoid this, make sure you eat healthy and work out on a regular basis. Sure, there are no definite guarantees since gestational diabetes may be a genetic factor. However, you can still lower your risk by keeping your weight under control, exercising, and eating only healthy foods.

6. Help to get back to your pre-pregnancy body faster

Sometimes it can be extremely difficult to get back in your pre-pregnancy body, but if you work out regularly you can watch the number of pounds you gain so that it’s in a healthy range, typically 20 to 40 pounds. So if you exercise during your pregnancy, you might get back to your pre-pregnancy weight much faster.

7. Balance your hormones

Since your hormones change during your pregnancy, don’t wonder if you notice that your emotions are down one moment and up the next. To reduce your mood swings, try exercising regularly. Exercise can help to balance your hormones as well as boost your confidence.

As you can see, exercise isn’t bad for a pregnant woman. Just follow your doctor’s guidelines, listen to your body, and enjoy moderate exercise and don’t forget to drink enough water to stay hydrated. If you are pregnant, do you work out?
